The rise of Downing as a major property group continued apace during 2006/2007.

The award winning company operates across three successful divisions.  It is one of the North West's largest commercial landlords and flourishes as a mixed-use developer and provider of student accommodation nationwide.

In 2006/2007 in Liverpool George Downing completed a substantial engineering feat, creating a four-level underground car park and its Eden Square development, digging the largest holes ever required for a construction project in the city centre.  The year also saw George Downing Construction commence major refurbishment projects at The Capital, and restored the Port of Liverpool building externally and internally .
